American Chemistry Council joins fight against BBB agenda
"America's Plastic Makers" launch dozens of Facebook ads against a Plastic Tax in reconciliation bill
Late last week, the American Chemistry Council used a Facebook page called “America’s Plastic Makers” to launch a new Facebook ad campaign to lobby against the Build Back Better agenda working its way through Congress.
The ads, running nationwide, urge viewers to contact their members of Congress and lobby in opposition to one of the reconciliation bill’s potential “pay-fors” - a $.20 tax per pound on virgin plastic. In the past 7 days, the group has spent over $118,000 on this campaign, and they are currently spending at a rate of $25,000/day.
